They have a mailbox in New York, claim however to have an office there. If you want to send Western Union, they give a name of a person in Austria, which everyone knows you can pick up Money from Western Union regardless to which destination you send it. And then they claim to have an office in Israel, which seems to be the right one. There are a lot of smoke screens. Why? What are they trying to hide?

This company forces you to pay for extra 10 year-upgrade $199 and terrible English text books on over $300 and they say you need them to submit the apprication. This company is not in NY but Israel. Don't trust them.

As opposed to other services out there, usafis provides the most up to date information about the Green Card Lottery. They also provide you to register online with them, or directly with the state department website. good service if you want to live and work in the USA.

At first I wasn't sure. I joined the program, paid the fee USAFIS collect's to help me fining the application with the photos and all that, but I wasn't sure as I knew there are other services and you can register with the State Department, and yet, I took the chance. But hey, when USAFIS sent me the official winning notification plus instructions how to continue and offered me legal support - WOW! I was amazed. A year and a half later we are now moving from Florida into Los Angeles area, I will work as a programmer for HP and my wife will continue her master degree in UCLA next year. I have been scammed by them before. They said they will mail you if you won the Green Card Lottery. The U.S. Government contacts winners directly. However, unless they said you won and make you pay THEM more money, so that they can scam you out of more money. I know there are legitimate companies out there, but they are certainly not one of them. BEWARE!!

A company who sends spam e-mails saying you have been selected and then charge you to register is not honest. Period. Do not trust.

Hello! First of all, please do not use this service, I had used it for my thai girlfriend, and these people took the money and run! I had registered my thai girlfriend for the lottery and paid a small fee of $79.00 . One week later, a deep accented man had called my girlfriend in Thailand, to upgrade her membership to $300.00! She had given them my telephone number and when they had called me, they told me that this kind of deal wont last long, and there is a good chance that she will get her visa within a couple months. As a fool-- I gave them my credit card, and one year later I still don't have a VISA for my thai girlfriend. If you really need a VISA, it is better to pay a few thousand dollars to hire an immigration lawyer to take care of it for you. I had tried calling the company and they never answer their phone, and they hid their contact information on the WHOIS. These are scammers!!

Avoid this place unless you were too late. They do offer some good resources and info on DV process. However the fact they obfuscate the visitors and display themselves as a government related site raise huge question to the legitimacy of this business. On top of that, the huge fee they asked you to pay is absolutely not acceptable. A frined of mine felt for it and I feel really bad for her. I told her to tell her credit company to deny the payment request (slim chance though) and cancel her credit card once she returns back to her country. Avoid it at all cost!
