Comments: Eight years ago Craigslist was to go to place for everything, but with so many scam posts it has gone down hill so fast. You can flag and the post is removed but we have wasted gas going to suspect rentals thinking it was for real ad, to find out that they were a scam. Many scams are obvious but some are not and if English is a second language and new to scams, one could so easily be taken for a ride. I am not sure of the solution for Craigslist but I can imagine it will be used less and less by readers. I know I seldom go there when I used to use it for everything. I really wish the sites owner would wake up and be proactive much more than he is and if he needs to hire people to scan posts & block IP's then so be it. Craigslist still is valuable for some services but their Apartment section is 50% Scam posts, FYI.

Comments: Stupid site blocks prepaid phones, how if you're poor or want to make some quick cash and/or someone who doesn't want the government on your back, and when you're not selling things that are known to be commonly stolen or that aren't over but a small amount of money (I was trying to sell less than $350 worth of stuff!) are you supposed to do so if it blocks your number just because it's prepaid? So stupid. And ugh, what's with the poor categorization? So lazy and apathetic. Craigslist is like a trap where people go and then leave after a little while. It's popularity is undeserved.

Comments: I am a daily visitor of craigslist. I love to see what people have out there they they want to get rid of or read the funny stories in the community sections. I have craigslist to thank for my 2 dogs, my job, and alot more. The navigation is pretty self explanatory on the site and it is decently user friendly for the less tech related people. As with any user posted site, you should always be wary of scam posting so just be on the lookout for things that dont seem quite right in postings but I can say that they do a pretty good job of weeding through the junk and trying to keep the site safe, secure, and honest.
