Comments: I was a common visiter of this forum until I was banned for absolutely nothing they thought I was spamming? I am a member of about 10 different forum's never ever had a problem with posting relevant links in relevant sections. Keep going Boards I will never ever be recommending you.

I would understand that, but i couldnt understand sending a warning out of the blue as if their mother was the op, or just looking for an ego boost! dude, you are not living in 3rd world country.. i dont blame them, i blame boards management who let such incompetitive, ignorant, nevertheless, kids to moderate here..

ahal says: Boards.ie is in no way radical, it simply became popular because the founder knew how to manipulate the registration system for '.ie' domains at a time when registering '.ie' names in Ireland was nigh on impossible ( lots of documentation etc. required ) In the 10 years or so since, it's become a huge success not through being any good, but rather as a winner of circumstance. The moderators are frighteningly petty, and often engage in trolling themselves against posters. The 'rules' are selectively applied depending on who is / isn't a friend of the moderator(s). In a few years' time I predict that boards will be a memory. They have a reputation as being a dictatorship, and there's only one problem with this - without users it will cease to be success. Surprisingly, they don't seem to have realized this. In conclusion, it's all about politics and keeping in with the right people. This has lead to incredibly boring threads which all read familiar.

There are some good irish discussion boards out there, but this one is very disjointed, most threads are very short and the average age of the user seems to be about 10
