Comments: Good site for technical (and tech gossip) news, most of it provided thru readers' comments; but it is very slow and the software they use to capture readers' comments is buggy and slow. I wasted a lot of valuable time trying to participate in commenting. update (oct 25, 2010) AOL has bought techcrunch and according to the previous owner, the reason was mainly because he could not attract and keep good engineers(?) and is hoping that AOL will solve the site's technical problems(?)see article: why-we-sold-techcrunch-to-aol-and-where-we-go-from-here

cvare says: While I agree with many of the negative review. Even the ones that give the site 1 star. I have to admit that it is a fairly balanced site with good overall coverage of technology. The contributers have a habit a veering off into narrow topics that are of little interest to the general public or even specialist for that matter. I would know I'm such a specialist.

socialmedia says: I use to go to TechCrunch, but the site has been going downhill a little more each day. The posts are horrible now. Michael Arrington has lost any ability he had to blog and the people he choses to write for the site are horrible. Extremely narrow-minded, childish posts.
