Comments: Squidoo is a place where you can publish your content for free. You can write about anything you like (as long as it's family-friendly and not illegal). You can also make money on Squidoo, since they will display some ads next to your content, and give a part of it back to you. I like how easy it is to publish your content, the big number of themes offered, the fact that you can add not only text but pictures, videos, RSS feeds as well. The downsides are that sometimes Squidoo support takes a really long time to reply if you have some sort of a problem, you don't really have much control over what kind of ads are shown on your pages (although you can opt-out of most of them), and lately the pages are kind of "busy" with lots of extra toolbars and stuff (nothing you can do about that).

Facebook User says: Squidoo.com is a site for creating a personal web page, called a lens. Site is simple to use and you can monetize your site to make money or give money to a charity. The site is medium speed, but fairly easy to navigate. There are lots of people on the site who help a new person as they create their first lens. There are ratings for sites, like G or R, so you can choose to see just the kind you want to view, and you can also rate your own sites. Fun to browse and learn about people's passions, hobbies, and other interests. Two thumbs up for ease of use and fun factor.
