When Fatah's Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in November 2005 stressed its "identification with and overall support of the position and declaration of the Iranian president, who called with all honesty to wipe Israel off the map of the world," it would have been no surprise to the longtime readers of Palestinian Media Watch. After all, the PMW website has been reporting similar comments from various officials in the Palestinian Authority for years. On February 4, 2005, for example, Ibrahim Mudayris, Head of the Association for Memorizing the Quran, PA Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs said "We have not given up on Haifa, Jaffa, Lod and Tel Aviv.... The land of Palestine will demand that the Palestinians return as Muhammad returned - as conquerors." On February 6, 2004, Ahmad Nasser, Secretary of Palestinian Legislative Council, said on PA TV, "Israel is a satanic state that cannot exist like normal states." And so on, back through time. This superb website tracks the broadcasts, newspapers and other media coming from the Palestinian Authority on a daily basis, and has done so for years. Thus, the website can accurately report not only the contents of massive hate propaganda aired in Arabic on a daily basis by the PA, it can also note exactly how many times certain anti-Israel videos have been aired. Videos show how children are taught to aspire to death for Allah, taught to be combatants and taught to fight for Israel's destruction. The site also exposes incitement to genocide and grotesque anti-Semitic propaganda. For those who disbelieve that the PA could mount such hateful material, the website posts dozens of video clips, cartoons, speeches and school texts for inspection. PMW provides an invaluable service to everyone who is genuinely interested in accurate information from both sides. --Alyssa A. Lappen

Palestinian Media Watch is exactly what it says--a watchdog keeping track of the videos, anti-Semitic cartoons and hate propaganda broadcast on official Palestinian Authority media. There is no comparable material broadcast on official Israeli state organs, much less in independent Israeli newspapers. If anything, Israeli media bend over backwards to discuss the human rights of Arab Palestinians. By contrast, on official PA media, videos regularly run exhorting children to become suicide bombers. There's a big difference, and you have to be blind or stupid not to see it.
