Comments: Moderators at newsvine are not fair and consistent! I was accused of being suspended on this site multiple times in the last 2 months and my username has been smeared!I merely followed their directions and they suspended me for however long for having 2 different usernames! I like the site because some threads offer stimulating debate, however, it seems that if you dissent or have a differing opinion, the community is quick to collapse your comment. If you are a liberal thinker you probably will be liked by the community, if you are conservative minded, you will battle a lot on that site! People who visit that site need to read the code of honor rules (not followed) before registering with them...good luck and you will probably make a few friends along the way!

Comments: Whoever is complaining about "multiple accounts": it's against the Code of Conduct. This site is very organized and easy to use with an extremely active and strong community. By joining, you gain a voice that can reach around the world. I'm one of the top users of the site, and have no complaints aside from the fact that support can be unresponsive and the site can slow down due to occasional heavy traffic. Other than that, I guarantee that you'll enjoy being a part of our community, unless you violate our rules. :)

Comments: I have been a member for almost 5 months, and I love the information sharing, debates, and friendships I have found there! Unlike some social networking sites, they have a strict Code of Honor that members must follow. The top one on the list is no personal attacks against other people. As long as you follow the Newsvine Code of Honor, you will have no problems. The people who have problems with the site are simply the ones who fail to follow the rules. This is a great site, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves news and debates.

Comments: I have had two accounts. Both were disabled after a week or so. I would link to sites, add my comments, share thoughts. My views tend to lean to the right and my links and comments reflect this position. It became clear that there are a handful of "viners" that really control things. They lean far left. Their tolerance for opposing viewpoints is immeasurable. Some viners and my thoughts: Soph0571: Lords over newsvine like a mother hen; appears to have little life outside; seems to spend more time directing tyler (purported admin)on who she wants deleted that day, than actually contributing anything of substance. JoulesBeef: Uses the F bomb in literally every other sentence; extremely left wing; insults, dismissively, anyone that he disagrees with; fourth grade level spelling, at best, even though newsvine has a built in spell-check; seems to be allowed to violate most of the "code of honor" without accountability. tyler: Soph0571's hatchet man. When your account is disabled, you are instructed to email a specific address. I have never received an answer. One account was mysteriously restored a few days after being disabled. No notice or reason given for being disabled or restored. (I have never used one profane word in any post at newsvine) I firmly believe that I was disabled due to conflicting opinions with Mother Hen. In Googling disabled accounts, at newsvine, it becomes very clear that few, if any, ever receive any reply from newsvine. So, my suggestion is to lean left, look out, and don't be surprised if one day you are disabled, with zero explanation. I do not recommend newsvine!
