JDate not only makes you pay $35 a month to send mail, but this doesn't gaurntee it will get to the recipient. JDate's latest policy change is to charge people to read their email. So even though you paid their ridiculous $35 per month you don't know if the person you are attempting to correspond with has paid and if they have not your correspondence is turned into a plea for them to pay for JDate. Not a great way to start a relationship. I have recently found a better site that is totally free and seems to believe that this JDate policy is truely unfair and makes a difficult task of finding your soul mate more difficult. While it seems there are so many posible people to date/contact on JDate, YOU CAN NOT CONTACT MOST OF THE "members." By claiming "over 500,000" members," Jdate is creating a false and inflated impression, because most of these members are not premium members, and cannot receive your Email through Jdate. All they will get is a notice of an Jdate attempted contact, and they will have to pay (become a "premium member"), just to see who you are. Worst of all, Jdate does not let you know if a "member" can not receive your eMail, so you can eMail someone, and wait and wait for a reply, but they never got it, and you feel rejected for nothing.
