Comments: Jalopnik is an online forum discussing various topics revolving around cars & the auto industry. It is not USA-specific, but the vast majority of users are from the states. Nonetheless, cars and companies from around the globe are included in the blog. Creating an account is very simple. Long-time users still bring up old its original format was better (and I will admit the current version has several delays, slow processing, kinks/bugs, and is much more flash intensive). With that warning about the current format--note Jalopnik's parent company (Gawker) isn't one to address these concerns. Fact of the matter is Jalopnik is one of 8 websites operated by Gawker, and the format for Jalopnik is the same across the rest of Gawker's 7 forums/blogs/newsletters. The company rarely comments on the status of the websites' formatting; which makes their customer service very poor. However, the authors and editors of their articles are very personable and easy to contact one-on-one. Community contributions are also accepted, and finder's & writing credit is ALWAYS giving to the leaders in the community who discover something important to share with the fellow "Jalops" as the users are known. The website has its own lingo the community uses, such as "Nibbles" (who is the imaginary terrorist rabbit we blame for a comment not accurately posting photos/videos to the articles as we want), "asshats" (referring to a person who displays poor road manners while driving or simply is ignoring their are doing something illegal while driving), among many others. It is very easy to fall into the terminology once you use the site after a few days. Hashtags are allowed in comments for better navigation of the site if you want to read about specific discussions.
