Is mtv a music network or a regular tv network. You have to have mtv2 to get videos. In the beginning it was music all the time even though they repeated alot of the same one, but that was ok because you could catch something you missed. It has changed from then and not for the better from the not so great shows I've seen.

Without question the worst channel on television. I'll be honest, I used to watch MTV all the time back in the day, back when there was actually diverse music videos (not just Rap as is the case 90% of the time I turn on the goddamn channel), innovative programming (read: Real World before it's 50th season...Jackass, The Osbournes, Beavis and Butthead, Daria etc). But now, I get to sit and watch some spoiled 16 year old billionaire break down in tears because she didn't get a BMW on her birthday? Are you kidding? Or how about watching some two kids "battle it out" by making fun of each other's Mama's for a straight hour? Oh sNap sUn, U CrAzE! And these aren't the only two examples. Looking at their current daily schedule, there are so many other horrific programs it's not even funny. Anyone with a half a brain can cut right through this B.S. and realize how much of a joke MTV has become. It's trainwreck programming at its finest and to be honest, that's the only reason why I'm still watching.

It's a new era where we no longer sit in front of our TVs waiting for videos. We can Tivo a block of video shows and sit for 4 hours watching them if we please. I have done that and ended up seeing about 2 good videos, then fast-forwarding through the rest. The public has the capability to now pull up their videos online, on their phones and other portable devices on their own time. Times have changed and MTV is changing with the times to accommodate music fans. At least there is an MTV2. If reality TV is what kids want, that's what MTV gives them. They are trying to please everyone with varied options. The MTV website provides information about celebrities, exclusive, well-produced shows and more. Of course most of the artists personal pages are going to be more informative. Duh. MTV.com is a source for entertainment and it is only going to improve. Stand by. MTV is a leader in music and youth entertainment for a reason.

MTV sucks all the way since 1981. You know why? Here's why. First of all, MTV plays all commercial crap and even the worse singles released gets airplay. MTV claims to be the music network for all, yet where's my smooth jazz, trance and heavy deep house? None, I tell you, there is no other music websites out there worser than MTV. The channels across the world are homogeneous playing the same crap over and over again. And the most pathetic of all is the fact that million of "kids" are believing in MTV by watching their crap. Get a life.
