I have been a member of the Lcom community for several years and am certainly not a cookie cutter Bush follower. I am not a card-carrying member of the GOP - in fact I am an independent. On more then one occasion I have voted for a Democrat because the republican candidate simply did not represent me and yet despite all that I found a place for intelligent debate on current affairs at lucianne com. You are right when you say they ban people but where you are wrong is in saying g they ban people for expressing opinions contrary to those of the Site Owner and moderators. You will be banned if you are just spouting out groundless, gossipy, accusations against people. More then once I have expressed my opinion that the President and Lawmakers could care less about the will of the people and I am still active and a member in good standing. I have gone as far as to call the GOP treacherous and yet I remain. This summer I posted in all caps and railed against the President and his cabinet - yet I can still post, I have never been "flamed to death" nor have I been called "all sorts of names" and yes I have enjoyed HOURS of debate over the last 6 years or so. Perhaps those whose experience has been different simply have trouble adhering to the very simple rules and cannot understand that "Lucianne.com is a NEWS sitesite" and can't grasp the idea that this site is owned and operated by a private citizen and tht you are not entitled to post whatever you want whenever you want. When you agree to abide by Lucianne's rules and regulations you can see plain as day the words "Personal essays (known as Vanity Posts), chain letters, parodies, songs, poems and unattributed screeds are not permitted and will be removed. Chronic offenders will be banned." Furthermore in regards to content when you applied you saw the following words as well "Please post news articles, columns and comment from legitimate on-line newspapers, magazines or news sites only" I have never had trouble posting an article from a legitimate news source in over 6 years and I post 6 or more a day.
If you want to join in - go to Lucianne.com yourself you will see it is NOT "merely a Bush propaganda, pro-GOP site" that it is people from all corners of the political realm engaging in intelligent friendly debate.

I stumbled on Lucianne.com right after 9/11. I was hoping for a debate site with some sanity. Unfortunately, this site is NOT it. Lucianne.com claims to be a political discussion site -- post an article from a news site and discuss the article. Sounds simple right? Wrong. This site whose posters claim to love freedom of speech will only allow you to post articles from websites which meet their approval (read: propaganda sites). They also claim to not allow articles from "special interest sites" but they manage to allow articles from special interest sites that promote the propaganda in which they approve. The people who post here still think there is a difference in the Republican and Democrat agendas! I found out quickly this is merely a Bush propaganda, pro-GOP site. If you try to question ANYTHING that the GOP and the Bush administration does then you will find yourself flamed to death -- they call you all sorts of names and won't debate the issue. Also, this website that claims to love freedom of speech will delete anything you say that they don't like -- and I am not talking about bad language. They simply do not like any political speech that does not toe the Bush line. So, if you are looking for a Pro-Bush, Anti-Democrat, GOP-worshipping, propaganda promoting website then this one is for you. However, if you are looking for a TRUE debate site where people can freely discuss political issues I suggest you go elsewhere.

This was once a decent site but has in the last few years devolved into an echo chamber for the country club GOP establishment. Independent thought or deviance from the position of Karl Rove & Dubya will be met with banishment.
This is not a conservative site in the vein of Russell Kirk or Edmund Burke but rather one embracing the neoconservative mantra of war mongering imperialism, open borders & consumerism. If you want to hold hands & sing in unison with Dubya & Rove's lemmings, this is the place for you.

I read the articles and posts on lucianne.com everyday. I check for new posts constantly. Most of the time the articles are of great interest to me and are not available on any other web site. I have found the posts to be interesting and sometimes very educational. The staff at lucianne quickly boots anyone that uses curse words. Without lucianne.com my news-gathering would be limited.
