Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Opportunities for catholic-forum.com

Queries that provide opportunities for this site to advertise through Search Engine Marketing (SEM) to get more traffic. They are popular queries that are relevant to the site, and have low competition in search engine marketing. Learn More Many sites are actively advertising in search engines for the most valuable search queries. This high level of competition tends to result in high advertising costs, which makes it difficult to find attractive advertising opportunities. These opportunities may still exist, however, by looking at the "long tail". The long tail contains search queries with lower Query Popularity, but such queries also tend to have lower QCI. By advertising for many of these queries, sites may still be able to manage an effective search engine marketing campaign. Note that not all queries on the long tail may be very relevant to this site, but this list may contain a number of strong advertising candidates.

This is a place where pre-vatican II Catholics will feel at home. By that I mean that it encourages the Roman Catholic of today to espouse the traditional Catholic virtues of obedience, prayer and loyalty, as opposed to ecumenism, egalitarianism, humanism, acceptance, vision and empowerment that John XXIII sought to instill during his papacy. As a result, the discussion forums are rigidly moderated. Although this is not a negative in itself, there is this supremacist bias that permits other religions and other Catholic and philosophical positions to be treated as inferior and to be openly ridiculed. The moderators and administrators are themselves complicit in this behavior, although perhaps unwittingly. If you are a Roman Catholic who is anti-gay, anti-choice, pro war, anti-Muslim, anti-Vatican II and also politically conservative, this site is for you.

This site is a great resource for info on the Saints. Well organized with quick data and images. Thousands of entries include the lesser known Saints.

The first two posters are being entirely unfair to CCF. This site is rich with argument, it's true, but that does not make the arguments unfair. The moderators do an excellent job of keeping the discussions from entering into the ad hominem variety as well as any directed against our Holy See. After having participated there for over a year, I have found no better source on the net for learning about the Roman Catholic Church. The people are kind, love a good discussion, and treat each member with respect. There is a section where a catechist answers your questions, another section for prayer requests, another one for Bible study, and several sections for various kinds of debate. The moderators, in their wisdom, restrict all debates to these latter fora.

Problems with this site were discussed at my parish recently. The discussion forum has a very negative policy towards African American Catholics who make any mention of past discrimination they have faced from fellow Catholics. It also has a problem of deleting posts critical of church officials they favor while permitting accusations of heresy against Catholic leaders who do not share the moderator's opinions.
