The Best Movie Data Site around. Info. on almost anything you will ever need to know on anything revolving around movies. The movie forums are also great. The second best you will find on the net, behind only BOR.

This site is the best on the web for a box office tracker, obsesser, or even a local checker. It has everything: daily top 10 grosses, weekends top 100+ grosses, plus immediate updates on the all-time unadjusted and adjusted domestic box office as weel as yearly and worldwide box office. They also have reviews on movies that are out and keep track of theatre counts! One of the things I love about this site is that when you sign up for email, they send you alot of updates and stuff to keep you up and alert. Another great option is the box office derby game, where you place your predictions for the weekend and then they tally results and rank everyone on accuracy; very fun game! The best feature, in my opinion of the extra's is the forum, there are numerous topics, general, box office, rumor, dvd, tv etc. for you to post, read, or creat message threads, and that is where I spend most of my time. Other great features are tracking on weekly dvd and video rentals and music sales! They have everyhting and update atleast once a day. Definitely a 5-Star web site, for movie lovers and brief box office trackers!

This site incorporates data on the box office, international data, television ratings, film totals, studios, and anything else you would possibly need to know about movies. The site is both detailed and meticulous, and gives you the most information you would need. It is specific, non-generalized, and gives honest and accurate information. It gives wide ranged information, has many charts and lists for all time, yearly, and even daily box office information. It gathers data from every nook and corner, and updates very often every day to make sure you are satisfied every single time you visit the site. The forums and great working staff create a wonderful environment, and allow for people to express their opinions, and enjoy themselves while both chatting and browsing information. The staff also supplies a box office prediction derby game, extra information, and detailed, non biased reviews. In my opinion, Box Office Mojo is the PERFECT box office/movie site.

The good: There is a ton of data at this site, & when their aren't any updates to the data the forums are packed full of information as well. The not-so good: I don't think censors are needed but there are several posts with vulgarity that make the site PG-13 at best. Maybe that's the preference for the site, but if that's the case please post a PG-13 at the home page. If no that's not the case, then the moderators need to flag the offenders more often & get them to stop. There is no ability to edit a post or delete a post which I think most forum users would like, but this feature isn't offered at many other sites so for me it's not an expected feature. Likewise, since a forum can only support about 20 threads per page, it's kind of hard to looking for specific topic posts. A search function would be nice, or simply create a few more forums to better divide the posts. There likewise needs to be more data pertaining to dvd's & video sales & rental for a wider array of movies since these numbers seem to have a great deal in deciding what movies get sequels and such. Overall it's a pretty decent site & I give it a 4/5 stars!

Box Office Mojo is easily the best movie website on the web. Plenty of information is provided, and it keeps growing with more exciting features everyday. If you're into box office numbers, this is the site for you. Not only do they list the grosses for movies on a daily basis, but they also list total gross for movies throughout the years,(domestic and world wide) and also adjusted for inflation grosses, so if you are curious what a movie like Jaws would have made today,the info is there, and very easy to find. BOM also has a box office derby game,in which you can predict the weekly grosses every week, and see how well you score against others. My favorite feature is the forums that it has. Box office forums,Oscar forums,DVD forums,Real Life forums,Movie Quiz forums, and others, make it a very fun place to visit and talk with fellow movie lovers. Some very knowlegeable people visit the forums on a regular basis. I see that a few of them even wrote their own reviews.
