Comments: The first site I check every day to find out what is going on in the world. For detailed & impartial stories about economics, politics, sport and entertainment it can't be beaten. It's a great place to get opinions of the experts on just about anything that is happening or is about to happen. The mobile version of the site is very easy to use on a smartphone too.

Comments: BBC site must be the first page I look at everyday. The articles have just the right balance between being informative and quick to get through, which is a good job because the content is huge. If you live in the UK you aslo get the benifit of the BBC iPlayer which puts all other broadcasters (at least in the UK) to shame.

Comments: There are only a handful of "go to" pages on the internet, but if anything is happening in the world this is the place I start. Quick and easy to find what you want. Easy to spot related or interesting items if you have a few extra minutes to spare. And generally easy to follow up on articles. Only downsides are some weak content in some areas (it tries to do too much I feel) and i-player viewing expires quickly which can be annoying in terms of TV/radio content
