Comments: This is a great site for those who enjoy writing correct information in their research papers. And, yes, it most possibly is the worlds greatest (online) library. Great job Library of Congress!

This has to be the world's top library. (I say this even though I am British, and quite like the British Library!) It has several claims to fame. It has the world's best collection of American literature and related items. It has the world's most comprehensive collection of non-American literature and related items. It is the world centre for the setting of library standards. It is the world centre for ensuring the standardised cataloguing of all the world's literature. It is an impressive resource for US lawmakers. It's building can lay claim to be the most impressive in a city of impressive buildings. For those who cannot visit in person, the library's website can provide hours of fascinating browsing.
