Comments: Livejournal was the first site I stumbled upon when I started out as a beginner blogger. I started off writing just regular daily diaries, but that turned into a bigger passion because of Livejournal. The site is great for someone learning the ropes of what is involved in the blogging industry with regards to content writing. Being a webdesigner, I do feel that the site it a little chunky and outdated in terms of the interface design. Otherwise, Livejournal is an awesome site to get started with Blogging and meeting interesting people.

Comments: My friends and I were really into using Livejournal when we were younger, but we've all moved on to more sophisticated platforms since. I now mostly go there to peruse their communities, which I think is still a great feature of theirs. I have a few friends that still blog on Livejournal, but I always wonder why they are still there.... As a blogging site, I think it's great for teens as a way to get into blogging. They have some nice features, including privacy settings that allow you to create custom use groups and set which posts those groups have access to. I love this and I'm sure a lot of websites have this feature, but it's not as easy to configure as it is on LiveJournal. However, for more serious bloggers who wish to monetize on their blogs, I wouldn't recommend Livejournal because it comes off as a bit aaeteur in my opinion, but it's definitely a great platform for the casual blogger.
