Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Opportunities for energy.gov

Queries that provide opportunities for this site to advertise through Search Engine Marketing (SEM) to get more traffic. They are popular queries that are relevant to the site, and have low competition in search engine marketing. Learn More Many sites are actively advertising in search engines for the most valuable search queries. This high level of competition tends to result in high advertising costs, which makes it difficult to find attractive advertising opportunities. These opportunities may still exist, however, by looking at the "long tail". The long tail contains search queries with lower Query Popularity, but such queries also tend to have lower QCI. By advertising for many of these queries, sites may still be able to manage an effective search engine marketing campaign. Note that not all queries on the long tail may be very relevant to this site, but this list may contain a number of strong advertising candidates.

Comments: Environmental Website Critique / Evaluation Assignment By Scott Diercks Conclusion: I find this website to be very well put together and it is easy to search and find the items you require. The home page is well done and I feel that is has been developed to fit many different styles of people by the way they have organized the information. They have visual symbols with brief descriptions that fit the needs of some users and have drop down menus that fit the needs of others that are more data orientated. With the variation of ways a person can search it gives the ability for the end user to have more comfort in matching the way he searches with his own style. They only downfall I could see is it lacks any sort of reference to the author or person who developed the information. This site also has the newest trends in communication that makes it easier to share and connect with social networking with others on various subjects through blogs, twitter, and face book links. I believe having these options also makes a more inviting atmosphere for younger generations to use and share this information. The site also includes an option that will have the site directly send you any of the latest industry trend and news directly to your personal email.
