Comments: I have been a FW user since 2002, contributing numerous posts mainly to their Finance Forum (FWF). The FWF was excellent in friendliness and open exchanges of all financial topics such as credit card deals, gift card cashing (without fees, e.g., Charter One Gift Cards), mortgage, reward checking, online savings. It changed over the years since I joined!! Even in FWF, there are frequent personal atatcks mainly from immature "kids" fighting for toys/egos. But the moderator is often timely and appropriate in keeping it as a peaceful and fruitful site. The Off-topic forum is an entirely diffent story. It is filled with boring housewives with nothing better to do but groan and moan. The posts are often meaningless and uneducated. Worse, there are group thinking, and yes, treating other people like dirt. It is ok to post meaningless post; but the worst part is the group "worship and sucking up" to a certain moderator and several old timers. Any normal people would not stay at that site for long. Those dislikes are conveniently banned. I have no problems staying away, but am just offering my observation to warn potential visitors to stay away to avoid unnecessary frustrations. I personally know numerous cases to validate my observations. Recommendations: 1. Visit Finance Forum only, but be careful posting (if one posts, expect negativity and harshness). 2. Stay away from hot deals, it will only waste your money. 3. 100% avoid the Off-topic forum, if one considers onself sane. 4. For FW staff: Please reconsider your off-topic forum: make it open, friendly, and without partical treatment for posters. Please keep your staff far away without being involved with posting, that is both un-professional and damaging.

I have gotten many excellent deals from FW. I also have gotten a lot of info on various products and services as well as met many interesting people from every age group and walk of life. I visit FW at least 5 times a day and plan to continue to. I have nothing but raves about FW.

I've been to many other hot deal sites, and Fatwallet is one of the very best. I have gotten many deals here that were unknown to many other deal sites.

Back in the days of open postings to this site it ruled the web but it has turned into a one be affilate add for Fatwallet. If you post something fatwallet does not like the just pull it. I have tried to link deals from Dealcathcer and every time they were pulled. I tried to post a deal from Codestosave and was told it was an invalid word. Now I just goto google and type in for coupons and they are all there. A great idea gone bad.

I have been visiting this site since April 2000. It's professionally run,thoughtfully moderated, provides valuable money saving ideas and is just plain fun.

It used to be good a year back. Now it's a kind of big mess. You can't really find great deals. Even if there are any great deals, the moderator is deleting those posts. May be pressure from the businesses?????

Navigating take some getting used to, but isn't that bad once you know how. The cash back option is really nice, and the members are even nicer.

This is the "granddaddy" of all deal sites. It is by far the largest, and gets the most postings. It's a good site for finding deals. It suffers from a few problems. Most of the posts are not interesting, so you must wade through them to find the few good ones. There is a rating system, but this gets abused by people who want to hide the really good deals. Many members are very rude and vocal, making for bad experiences for first-time posters of deals that are not "hot". And the moderators do nothing to discourage this behavior.
