This service is the best I found for social bookmarking. Social Bookmarking is not the right term for it, because it is a lot more than just bookmarking. You can clipmark content from multiple sources into one clip. You can tag and categorize your clips and make them public or private. The print function rocks because you can now print out pages which couldnt be printed well due to design errors. With Clipmarks? No Problem. Clip it, print it - wonderfull! It is a very helpful tool for researches and web content organisation. You can tag items and you can put them into categories, which gives you best of both worlds, taxonomy & folksonomy. And last but not least: The community. Clipmarkers are very nice and helpful folks and even the developers are active community members. They really care about user suggestions and feature requests and develop Clipmarks further day by day. I have seen so many updates since I am there and nearly all of them have been requested by the members, have been realized very fast and are all usefull to the fullest! So forget about social bookmarking. Start Clipmarking today. You will never ever regret your choice for the best web 2.0 tool out there: Clipmarks. Warning: This service is highly addictive!

I primarily use this site to "clip" news stories. I am an unabashed news junkie and I really hated bookmarking news stories, it just created a whole bunch of clutter. Then I found clipmarks.com. Clipmarks allows me to save a parts of a news story or the whole thing, and then I can tag it, save it, and view it later. The other nice part about it, is people can comment on it and add other useful information, so you can even get a feel of community. However, if you wish to keep your clips private and not participate in the community aspect you can do that too. The other community aspect is the "pop" feature. If you like a clip, other uses can "pop" it, basically it sends it back to the top of the list on the clip mark exchange, this also allows other to quickly identify which clips are generating the most interest. Clipmarks also allows me to view what other people are clipping so I can find stories that I may not have found otherwise, I can even add other peoples clips to my own library saving me some effort. Of course you can use clipmarks for much more than news, you can clip any text or image on the web. So if you are working on a paper for work or school, it makes a great way to save the parts of a site you wish to use in your paper. As many of us students know, sometimes you will only want to use one paragraph or sentence from a reference, and it can get really irratating having to bookmark the entire page just for a sentence, not to mention trying to find that sentence again. Clipmarks is one of these applications that at first seems like another way of bookmarking something. And it does do that part very well. Its magic comes in when you can not only have the URL but also the content at that point in time. And not all of the content, but specific content that you find relevant. Once you start with that kind of bookmarking - you never want to touch Bookmarks/Favorites menus again... ever! You can organize clipmarks into 'collections' that you create, as many as you wish and can even attribute clipmarks to multiple collections. And of course as any great web 2.0 app - you can also tag your clipmarks with any number of tags. That makes finding things later a breeze. But it doesn't stop there - there's also a social component, where comments can be entered for any Public clipmarks (yes, you can also have the Private kind that nobody can see, but you). Comments add a whole new level of supplemental info for a clipmark and provide a social component that's simple and very effective. Self-moderation tools are available to prevent abuse of the comments and clipmarks. Although Private clipmarks alone would make this application great - Public clipmarks, which can be viewed by anyone, greatly increase exposure to content and really make this online app incredibly useful. The Clipmarks team does an excellent job in releasing upgrades on a very timely basis and pushing this already top-rated application even further. They're totally dedicated, responsive and a bunch of great guys. There are a number of features that I haven't described, but do yourself a favor - go to www.clipmarks.com, try it out and see why this is going to become one of the best tools you've ever used on the Net. One word of caution - it's addicting!!! P.S. It's too bad I can only give it 5 stars... seems insufficient.
