Open Source and Advert-Free programs are generally viewed as premature and basically just not as good as programs offered by their commericial competitors. Programs like Mozilla Firefox completely go against their stereotype. Firefox in my opinion is more than a problem for Microsoft, it's better than Internet Explorer. Also, problems for browser based software is their extensibility and compatability issues. Because Firefox is now a big player in the web market, 3rd Party companies are making plug-ins that Firefox supports. If Internet Explorer is far capable for your needs in web surfing, then continue using it. But, if you're looking for a web-browser as capable as IE, ad free and no strings attached, then Mozilla Firefox really is the way forward. I was suprised when I first found Firefox, it all seems to good to be true, but I've been using it over a year now, and i still havent found a problem.

Fistly: things shoud be free and open. "The Mozilla Organization" is free and it's open! The biggest hit for Mozilla is the "Firefox" web browser. This is the first browser too be able to compete against "Microsoft"s "Internet Explorer" since the days of "Netscape". -and really; it's about time that Internet Explorer got some real competition! Microsoft has been lazy and has not upgraded it to withstand the increasing securitythreat that the everyday computer must handle everyday. And now with fresh competition from Mozilla and all of theire open-source programers; Microsoft is forced too improve theire own browser to keep theire grasp over the web. Mozilla is more than just Firefox. They also have another browser; Camino, but that one is ownly available on Mac. Personaly I mean that the best software from Mozilla is the e-mail clien "Thunderbird". No spam controll can even dream about getting ridd of your spam as effectively as Thunderbird. They can just forget it! They simply can't handle the job.
